Molecular formula Description Main ApplicationsMolecular formula

Description
White crystals or crystalline powder; Molecular Formula: C₆H₁₃NO₂; Molecular Weight: 131.17; CAS No.: 61-90-5; The most potent mTOR pathway activator among BCAAs.
Main Applications
L-Leucine is one of the three branched-chain amino acids and, among them, the most potent activator of the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathway. By triggering mTOR signaling it markedly stimulates muscle protein synthesis to support lean muscle anabolism, and exerts an anti-catabolic effect during training and recovery that helps prevent muscle loss. Beyond its widespread use in sports nutrition, L-Leucine is also utilized as an ingredient in pharmaceuticals, in cosmetic formulations, and as a nutritional fortifier in food and beverages.
