Main Applications

Citicoline is endogenous nucleotide derivative that contributes to the biosynthesis of phosphatidylcholine and sphingomyelin, key structural components of the neuronal cell membrane. By supporting membrane phospholipid synthesis and influencing acetylcholine and dopamine metabolism, it has been studied in the management of neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and has been investigated for use as supportive care following acute craniocerebral trauma and neurosurgery.
