Main Applications
As the most abundant free amino acid in human plasma, L-Glutamine is synthesised endogenously under normal physiological conditions, yet becomes conditionally essential under stress conditions such as intensive training, injury or illness, where additional dietary supply is required. Serving as a principal fuel source for enterocytes and immune cells, it supports recovery following intensive training and contributes to normal immune function. For these reasons, L-Glutamine is widely utilized in sports nutrition formulations and is incorporated as a key ingredient in enteral nutrition preparations.
